Skateboards & Broken Arms

Will broke his arm - he was skateboarding down a hill . . . with the sprinklers on! Sooo we casted his arm on friday - the great news is - they make WATERPROOF casts! I was so happy with the way the doctor took care of everything. So if any of you ever need the name of a good Pediatric Ortho just call me (hopefully you will not every need one - but just in case). Its so weird to see him doing everything that you're not supposed to do because you're in a cast. We had a primary activity on Saturday and they were slippen-slidden and he still played. Kinda Fun!

Anyway - the boys have been taking skateboarding classes through this kid named Logon. We have taken classes from Desert Devils through their indoor skate park and a 5th Street Roller through Gilbert Parks and Rec. I think my boys have learned more from Logan in the one week then they did when we took from the other more expensive places. There were girls in the class too. He now has a web-site and will be doing classes this fall. Even though Will broke his arm from this - we will be taking him back. He has a web-site up now … and Tucker is in one of the pictures - way cool! Check him out.

Happy Birthday July Babies!

Happy Birthday to everyone that has a birthday in JULY!!! There are so many people that have birthdays in July! Soooo hope everyone either had a fun B-day or will have a great one!

Today is My birthday! Since we can not use our kitchen right now - I woke up to a #3 McDonald's Breakfast meal (my favorite) with a BIG OJ. One thing I love about Micky-D's is that you can GO LARGE!! So sweet of my hubby to get up and sneak out so I could be served first thing! Also, this will probably make my whole day . . . I caught my son Tucker in his room quietly wrapping a present for me - I could care less what it is because it just feels good to know that he was thinking of me . . . it's just too cute!

Also, I love that I share my birthday with my friend Judy! Happy Birthday Judy!

My friend Marla is also in July.  One time we both had our homes TP'd and spooned by other July birthday buddies!  It was pretty funny!
Our other July birthday buddies - Kristen & Wendy
OK . . . I have been waiting a LONG time to blackmail Amy with this picture - sorry Aim!  Any way it was fun celebrating your birthday the other night!
My cute nephews both have a birthday this month!  Happy Birthday Hayden and Mitchell!
And of course I can't miss wishing my sweet Tucker.

Both Brother-In-Laws that are married to both of Doug's sisters birthdays are this month too.  Bryant & Nathen
My Mother-in-Law - MaryAnna

The Wish
Each birthday wish
I've ever made
Really does come true
Each year I wish
I'll grow some more
And every year
I DO

Summer Fun! -- We wish we had a POOL!

Ok for all of you who know, we are still working on our floors. My kids have had to either stay up stairs or go out side! Kinda hard with 5 kids. I have tried to get out and have some movie, shopping, museum fun -- but with Rowdy, it can get a little difficult, but needles to say we have had some fun days. Here are a few of the fun things we have been doing.

Cousins

This week we have had our cousins in town from Michigan - it has been sooo fun.  We have had shopping days, sleep overs, BBQ's, slippen slide fun and so on.  Today we went over to the Az Science Center to go and see the "Chronicles of Narnia" exhibit.  It was pretty good.  They have actual props from the movie set.  They had you walk through a wardrobe into Narnia.  It was really cute - the only bummer thing was they wouldn't let you take pictures.  We didn't really like that.  We ran into Mrs. Lavely from our Elementary School.  All of my kids have had her and loooveee her soooo much - it was fun to see her there.  Carson thought it was funny that the last time she was there was on a school field trip  . . .with Mrs. Lavely!
